This building is rated as a critical facility and requires continued occupancy after an earthquake. The scope of work includes the analysis and preliminary design of a seismic isolated hospital. The structure consists of 9 different buildings resting on an HDRB isolated plate. The structural modeling was done in Midas Gen. My work covered the structural modeling, linear dynamic analysis, verification of isolator connections, sub and superstructure preliminary design according to D.M 2008 and Eurocodes.
