Brebemi Highway Bridges, Italy

Brebemi highway connects the northern Italian cities of Bergamo, Brescia and Milano. Several reinforced concrete and composite steel bridges are part of the project. To comply with the code requirements in Italy, the performance of several bridges supported on friction pendulums and laminated rubber bearings are validated by static and dynamic testing. My responsibility was to construct FE models, decide on the test setup and location of accelerometers, validation of performance.
